    Description

    1003: An early Victor No. 4 double longspring animal trap with cast iron jaws, original chain (lacking distal ring), strong springs. Total length of the trap is about 19 inches, and the jaws when open measure approximately 6 inches wide. The 2 1/2 inch-diameter pan has very clear stamped lettering (unusual for stamped pans this old) indicating two patents "PAT. Dec.16.02" and May 28.07." The trap was made in Community, New York, indicating that it is one of the more earlier ones produced by Victor. Photographs show the specifics of a very nice trap that will be an excellent addition to your collection or as a decorative piece for your cabin or home.
