an amazing pair
of mod green velvet heels
by Margaret Jerrold~
Made from plush soft velvet, these have a fantastic Louis XIV / Rococo Revival design with square toes, blocky geometric heels, genuine leather soles and linings, & high tongue vamps embellished with jeweled Maltese Cross pins. While looking at the close-up photos, I noticed a clasp on the side and was surprised to discover they are actually large brooch pins, not just sewn-on ornaments, so you can take them off and wear them as jewelry whenever your heart desires. They were made by Florenza but aren't signed which isn't unusual for Florenza because, in addition to making jewelry under their own name, they also made jewelry for the retail trade and other brands including Coro and Weiss. This particular style of Maltese Cross is a documented Florenza design.

width: 3.25" across the bottom sole / 7.6cm
heel height: 2.25" / 6.4 cm

previously worn and loved with noticeable wear inside the shoes and on the bottom soles as well as some little signs of wear on the velvet, mostly near the toes as shown in the photos. With that said, they are still utterly beautiful and certainly strong and sturdy enough for regular wear. Margaret Jerrold was a high-end shoe brand back in the day, and these are very nice quality, well-made through and through. Mod and marvelous!
