BLACK VELVET DRESS TAP DANCE~SIZE 5? ~HAND SEWN
For your consideration is an Antique/Vintage pair of Ladies Tap Dance Shoes in Black Velvet.
These shoes were hand sewn by O'Connor and Goldberg Paris-Chicago. They lace in the front and have embellishments of metal triangles with rhinestones and ribbon laces.
The interior has the label O’CONNOR & GOLDBERG "Charm Quality" PARIS- CHICAGO.

These are gorgeous shoes and make for a nice-looking display item. They are very small in size.  When placed up against a wall and measured from where the heel of the foot would sit to the tip of the toe is 8 3/4” long, the width of the sole at the widest part is 2 3/4” and has a 3" heel.
These are beautiful shoes and were certainly loved as evidenced by the soles.  The tip of the toe as well as the heel have metal taps.
This was an Estate purchase.  These shoes were in a large Mahogony trunk with other items of
memorabilia dating back to the early 1900's.
O'Connor and Goldberg was a chain of shoe stores in Chicago that
operated from the early 1900s through at least the 1970s
.
