For your bidding consideration today, from an estate auction of a long time shoe collector, we have a pair of antique Victorian beaded shoes that were at one time in the Brooklyn Museum in New York. I am sure that there is a way to research the numbers for more information, but I am not sure how to go about doing that. The shoes are made of white leather, similar to a nubuck type of leather. The toe area and the sides of the shoes have white beading with circles and swirls.  They lace in the front, and I am not sure what the tips of the laces are made of, not metal. The interior of one shoe has the name EDWIN C BURT & CO. The museum numbers are on a hanging tag, and again on the soles of the shoes with a date 1892. The shoes make for a nice display, but do have some wear to them. There are small splits at the backs, some surface wear and soiling, though the beading appears to be fairly intact. There is also a small split near the front of the laced area.  Even with the flaws, they are still lovely shoes and would be a great addition to any collection. From heel to toe, they are 8 3/4” long, and the width of the sole at the widest part is 2 1/2” . Check
