    Description

New dead stock Vintage 50’s 60’s Joseph LaRose Olive Pump Stiletto Shoes
“Imagine a shoe that looked like apiece of wearable art – one that could easily pass in a museum for its intricate designs.  Joseph LaRose turned this fantasy in to reality.”
“LaRose spent nearly half of a century creating one-of-a-kind shoes sought after by thousands.  Even after his death of cancer in December 1999, his legacy presently lives on in shoe collector’s closets around the globe.”
This listing is for a beautiful pair of olive-green leather stilettos with a sexy, delicate 3 1/3 inch heel. They have never been worn and are in sturdy condition. I would say they are from the50s or early 60s. They are marked 8M. I am a 7 ½ with a fairly slender foot, and I would guess these might fit a 6 ½ N. But these are just for display, no?
In early 2000, I was invited by my fashion author friend to fly to Jacksonville with her for a day. She had somehow finagled a way to peruse the LaRose inventory inside the four LaRose Jacksonville buildings/warehouses before any shops or designers were admitted. There were hundreds of thousands of shoes everywhere, and we managed to pick out a few pairs to purchase. I have sold or worn a few pairs, but am now selling the rest of my collection here.
