Unusual wooden vintage rat trap

Description

A vintage rat trap.
Hardwood construction with metal pins and wood dowel plugs.
Very sturdy and well made. 6 1/2" x 4" x 7"H.  Base is 1" thick.
The base split slightly, and at some point it was repaired with epoxy. Please see the pictures.
I believe it is functional but it has a VERY strong spring and I'm hesitant to try it - I like my fingers where they are, thank you!
I don't see any maker's mark anywhere on this item.
A must for the rat and mouse trap collector!  :-)
