    Description

Vintage Women's/Child's 11 Button, Button Up Shoes Circa, 1900's by Roberts, Johnson & Rand, Star Value. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Roberts, Johnson and Rand Shoe Company started business in St. Louis in 1898 and merged with another St. Louis shoe company in 1911 to form the International Shoe Company. So these shoes were made sometime from 1898 to 1911. They are well over 100 years old. They were purchased at an estate sale where the owner (easily in her 70's) told me that they belonged to her great, great grandmother. They are in exceptionally good condition! THEY ARE SOMEWHAT UNIQUE IN THAT EACH SHOE HAS 11 BUTTONS. Most shoes I found only had 7. I could not find a size on them, but they measure approximately 10 inches long, 7 inches high and 3 inches at the widest part of the foot with 1 1/4 inch heels. They are made of soft black leather with a flexible canvas sole on the inside. The buttons are still securely attached, the heels are secure and the canvas inside is strong and unmarked. (except manufactures marks) The soles are also in good condition and the stitching is strong. There are a few minor scuff marks that are hardly noticeable and can be easily taken care of. I only cleaned the dust off of the shoes for the pictures so a little more cleanup should give you a remarkably near new looking pair of shoes. I wonder what great, great grandma was doing the last time she wore these shoes?!!!
Roberts, Johnson & Rand Star Value shoes!
