Description
Cush-In-Grip traps were made by Chas Briddell in the later 1930s and were amomg the earliest factory made padded jaw traps. They were called Humane Traps in advertising and that is even printed on the pan. The greatest difficulty in collecting these traps is that the riveted strips holding the padded jaws together cracked easily and most are found with portions of the strips missing. This trap is in very good condition with intact riveted copper strips, largely complete rubber pads and a strong spring. The chain is a distinctive Chas Briddell longer narrower link chain and correct to this trap as is the ring. The pan reads well and all is readable. This trap conforms to eBay protocol that requires jaw spread to be less than 5 1/2 inches.
