Vintage Early #4 Oneida Jump Three Dates Trap Newhouse

Description

This #4 size single underspring jump trap is marked Oneida Jump and has all three patent dates of 1904, 07 and 09. The trap was made sometime between 1910 and 1925 and is in very nice condition with strong spring, complete chain and ring and a well marked pan that reads.  This trap has the unusual and scarce "double wrapped" connecting link between the trap and chain that is shown in a photo.  That link was found on some solid pan Oneida Jump traps and likely abandoned shortly after they began stamping the large V from the pans. This trap meets eBay protocol with jaw spread less than 5 1/2 inches.
