Vintage Hawley Norton #4 Kenwood Trap Newhouse

Description

This is a Hawley Norton double long spring trap made by the Oneida Commuity as a bit lighter and less expensive trap than their Newhouse line. This trap was made in the Kenwood NY factory in the 1890s and has the Kenwood marking on the pan.  This trap is in excellent condition with smooth dark finish, strong springs and complete chain and ring.  The cast pan has clear Hawley Norton and Kenwood markings. The size number 4 is light but readable.  Just a really nice early example. This trap conforms to eBay protocol with jaw spread less than 5 1/2 inches.
