Vintage Museum Special Field Mouse Traps

Description

These traps were made to catch and kill field mice which are often larger and heavier than house mice.  As a consequence these traps are intermediate in size between common house mouse snap traps and rat traps. These traps were called museum specials because they were often used by government entities to make specimen collections for various institutions.  The two styles offered here are different only in the shape of the wood bottom and both are marked similarily.  Both traps are used and show staining.
