Vintage P S & W Co Double Underspring #2 Jump Trap Newhouse

This #2 size P S & W Co  double underspring trap is rather uncommon and was made in the period 1910-1920s.  The trap has strong spring and is complete with the correct chain and riveted ring.  The pan strike was very good and all lettering is clear.  The only feature that prevents this trap from being near new are the trapper marks on the pan.  The name E C EDGAR is stamped in small clear letters near the edge of the pan and 9 punch marks on the back of the pan form the capital letter E that shows up on the front of the pan in flat raised marks. There is no evidence of use, rusting or pitting. These traps meet eBay protocol that requires traps have jaw spread less than 5 1/2 inches.
